ETF Securities Ltd

ETF Securities Ltd (based in London) operates an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) (see Footnote 4) for investment in gold, platinum and other metals [MJ 25 May 2007]. It is believed to be one of the two largest of its kind.

Late in 2010, the firm announced that it would also establish ETFs for metals which would, in effect act as commodity funds, to back both investment and commodities' dealings [MJ 29 October 2010].
